Apologize for the million posts following, I got really behind! I LOVE this picture! It was so sweet that he feel asleep in the pool! He sleep for a considerably long time too! Oh I could just squeeze him!
Have I mentioned that I have the most amazing parents! Well I do and the take such good care of me and my Kiddo's Thanks mom and dad! Yep still snoozing!
Grampa loves to toss the kids...so we let him, they like it too!
If you have never gave Downata a try in the summer I would Highly recommend it! It is so fun and has CLEAN dressing rooms (I hate Dressing ROOMS!) It also has a play area that just squirts water out of different contraptions on cement! Kind of an old school version of the Gateway fountains! The Slides are a lot of fun too!
Aortic stenosis affects 5 out of 10,000 people and 80% are male. That's 3-6% of those affected by Congenital Heart Defects.
Stenosis- Abnormal narrowing of the aortic valve.
Aortic Regurgitation- Regurgitation means the valve doesn't close properly, and blood can leak backward through it. This means the left ventricle must pump more blood than normal, and will gradually get bigger because of the extra workload.
Bicuspid Aortic Valve- The normal aortic valve has 3 equal-sized leaflets or cusps with 3 lines of coaptation. A congenitally bicuspid aortic valve has 2 functional leaflets. Most have one complete line of coaptation.
Congenital Heart Defect (CHD)- Structural problems with the heart present at birth. They result when a mishap occurs during heart development soon after conception and often before the mother is aware that she is pregnant.

Aortic Stenosis
What is Aortic Stenosis?
In aortic stenosis, the aortic valve is stiffened and has a narrowed opening (a condition called stenosis). It does not open properly, which increases strain on the heart because the left ventricle has to pump harder to send blood out to the body. Sometimes the aortic valve also does not close properly, causing it to leak, a condition called aortic regurgitation.Aortic stenosis affects 5 out of 10,000 people and 80% are male. That's 3-6% of those affected by Congenital Heart Defects.

Aortic Valve- One of the four valves in the heart, this valve is situated at exit of the left lower chamber of the heart where the aorta (the largest of all arteries) begins.Stenosis- Abnormal narrowing of the aortic valve.
Aortic Regurgitation- Regurgitation means the valve doesn't close properly, and blood can leak backward through it. This means the left ventricle must pump more blood than normal, and will gradually get bigger because of the extra workload.

Cyanosis- Lack of oxygen in the blood, which makes the skin, lips, and nails appear blue.
Echocardiogram (Echo)- A test in which an ultrasound is used to examine the heart.
Gradient- Stenosis of the aortic valve leads to a pressure gradient across the valve during the time in which blood flows through the valve opening. This aortic valve gradient is expressed as an increase and decrease on each side of the defective valve. The magnitude of the pressure gradient depends on the severity of the stenosis and the flow rate across the valve.

So much fun!!! I just learned the name's history. It's called Downata... Down at a hot springs... :) So funny! Looks like you had a ton of fun though. Sad to say - I have never been there even though we currently live only 7 miles away!

We love Downatta Hot Springs! Our heart kid Elaine loved it, with the warm water and all. It was the only place she could enjoy a "real swim"! Glad you had a good time!
Oh my goodness! I haven't been to Downetta in years and it looks so nice! Camden's nap in the pool says it all :)
